Beyond our regular meetings, OVRGHS has a variety of social events and activities that our members actively organize and participate in - from geology and/or quarry tours in the fall, to our regular photo competitions and seed exchange in the winter, and botanical walks, open gardens, bus trips, and workshops in the spring and summer.   Come and have fun with us!

​This event is organized by Just Food. OVRGHS is not organizing this event but we will have a booth with remaining seeds from both our and the NARGS seed exchange, items of general interest, books and information. To volunteer, contact Dorothy Tol at

​Normally members would be invited to meet at the Thomas Neatby Building at 1 pm to sort and package the donated seeds and package them up. Seeds would then be for sale this day to members, only (48 packets for $5). However this year due to the Covid pandemic we are going this all by mail instead - see details on the SEEDEX page.
Even if you don't grow from seed, don't be shy to come - it’s relaxed, fun and educational. Please bring some goodies to share.
